Welcome to the laboratory of Dr. Jonathan Allen in the Biology Department at the College of William and Mary. Research in the Allen Lab focuses on the life histories of marine invertebrate animals. We study the ecology and evolution of larval, juvenile and adult forms in diverse organisms including sea urchins, sea stars, snails, flatworms, hemichordates and many others. We are particularly interested in projects at the intersection of ecology, evolution and development. Student research is highly valued in the lab.
